Nissan Patrol vs Toyota Prado: Which One Is Better?

Nissan and Toyota are both well-known Japanese car manufacturers and popular brands all over the world. Their SUVs, the Nissan patrol  and the Toyota Prado, are both strong and reliable vehicles. In this post, I’ll compare them based on several important factors to help you decide which one is better for you. I’ll also share my own opinions, and you’re welcome to add your suggestions in the comments section.

Let’s begin! I’ll compare them based on the following:

  • Price compare
  • Resale value
  • Spare parts availability
  • Engine & gear durability
  • Interior and exterior design
  • Servicing cost

1. Price Compare : I compared the brand-new 2024 models of both vehicles. In general, the prices of the Nissan Patrol and Toyota Prado are quite similar. The average price ranges from $52,000 to $68,000 USD. However, the price can vary depending on the region, engine type (cylinders), features, and even color. (This comparison is based on car prices in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

2. Resale Value : If I compare Nissan patrol resale value with Prado. Then obviously you can get good price for Toyota Prado. Then nissan Patrol.

3. Spare parts availability: Both vehicles have spare parts available in most places. However, Toyota Prado spare parts are easier to find and usually cheaper than those for the Nissan Patrol.

 4. Engine & gear durability : In my opinion, the Nissan Patrol has a better interior and exterior design than the Toyota Prado. The Patrol’s seats are especially comfortable, which is very important for long drives. If your seat isn’t comfortable, it’s hard to enjoy driving. That’s why I believe seat comfort is a key factor in choosing aDurability

5.Engine and Gear Durability: Engine and gearbox performance are very important for any vehicle. Based on my experience, Toyota vehicles are known for their strong engines, gears, and chassis. They are durable and reliable, and you can drive them without much trouble.

6. Servicing Cost: When it comes to ongoing maintenance, Toyota Prado usually has lower servicing costs compared to the Nissan Patrol. Toyota also has more service centers globally, making it easier to get your vehicle serviced almost anywhere.

Final Thoughts: Which One Should You Buy?

If you’re looking for better resale value, lower maintenance costs, and affordable spare parts, then the Toyota Prado is likely the smarter long-term choice.

However, if you value luxury, comfort, and stylish design, and don’t mind a slightly higher cost for servicing, then the Nissan Patrol might be the better fit for you.

Both vehicles are excellent in their own ways-your final decision should be based on your personal priorities and budget.

Do you have experience with either the Nissan Patrol or Toyota Prado? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section!
