All people spacilly African people need to read this blog.
Over the past 7 years, I have been working in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and I am directly involved in the car business. During this time, I have met lot of people from different countries, especially from Africa, who come to Dubai United Arab Emirates to buy cars and other goods. “The reason I writting this blog is because I have seen how my dear African brothers and sisters are being cheated by their own people.”
Before begin, I want to make it clear that the UAE is a very safe country with strict laws and regulations. But these problems happen due to the personal companions that buyers bring with them, not due to the system or environment of the country.
đThis is not a story – today I will share my personal experience with you.
Most of African customers come to buy a car or other goods , they often bring someone with them – like a friend, brother, cousin, or driver – just to help. Just you bring your friend or you came with a driver just for help, Look how he cut your throat? Although customer pay driver & sometimes pay his friend. Most of customer come with Pickup driver… I donât say about nationality.
If you come in “Deira Dubai ” then you will understand they are from where. Naver donât believe them. Most of they are very dangerous.
When customer choose car and decided to buy car then game is start.
01. Driver and his/her friend both demand Commission from seller.
If seller not give commission then push buyer don’t buy car.
They threat saller you can’t sale car if you don’t pay me commission.
REALLY if you don’t pay, then you can’t sell your car. They talk their mother language ( all customer don’t know English) and he give bad report even car is 100% fresh. Finally you will loose customer.
If the seller agrees to pay commission, they increase the car price.
âĸ For example: if car price $5,000 car is sold for $6,000-$6,500.
âĸ So the buyer ends up paying
$1,000-$1,500 extra, which goes into the pocket of the companion
02.Accessories Shops Commission:
âĸ After the car deal, they take the buyer to tyre, rims, or accessories shops.
âĸ Again, they collect commission from shop owners.
03. Shipping/Cargo Commission:
âĸ At the time of car shipping, they demand commission from the cargo or shipping agent.
If the cargo guy refuses, they threaten to take the customer elsewhere.

Final Result:
The customer ends up paying double the actual value of the car. Sometimes with that extra money, the customer could’ve bought two cars instead of one!
Final Advice to African Buyers:
Please be careful whom you trust.
Don’t allow your friend or driver to control your purchase.
Always deal directly with the seller.
Ask for written prices and avoid hidden commission.
Do your own research before making any purchase or shipping decision.
